Using Coupons On a Date or in a Business Setting
Have you ever gone on a date with some one who has used a coupon at the restaurant you were at? Have you done this yourself? A couple of weeks ago I was listening to the radio here in Chicago and they were having females call in to give their opinion on how they would react if a guy did this with them. I thought the topic and answers were quite amusing but wasn’t surprised that the reactions were mixed. Some women said that they would be turned off by a guy doing this because it would make them look cheap but some people praised it because it showed that they were smart with their money.
Have I ever done this you ask, yes I have actually. My wife and I had been dating a couple of years already and we received a coupon for buy one get one free to a Brazilian Steakhouse that normally would cost $50-$75 per person. At this point we were only a year or so out of college so we didn’t have a whole lot of money and this was the only way we could afford a restaurant like this. Would I have done this if we had just started dating, no probably not.
Now what about in the workplace. Have you ever gone out for a business lunch or dinner and your boss has used a coupon to pay for the meal? A lot of companies are looking to boost the bottom line but this would be an extreme way to do it if you ask me.
How I want to hear your thought on this subject. Leave a comment on this post and tell me what you think about this topic. Have you ever used a coupon on a date or in a business situation? Has anyone ever used one with you?
