I get that with the gift card it’s technically $0.75 each, but when you get a $5 gift card at Target for purchasing something, they don’t let you use it for that purchase. You have to save it for your next trip to the store.

True, but think of it in the long term. I doubt you are never going to buy something from Target again so the $5 would either make this $0.75 each or the next item $5 cheaper
Its a win win situation for those who use Axe body wash
